Replacing Your Nail Brush
If you’re like us, you really, really love your nail brush. It can be difficult, but sometimes when we love something, we just have to let it go. So, how can you tell when it’s time to put your beloved brush out to pasture? Here are some tell-tale signs that it’s time for a new brush:
1. Bent Bristles. Your nail brush should have distinct, tightly packed rows of bristles. If it’s starting to look like it has “bed head” with bristles jutting out in all directions, it’s coming to the end of its useful life.
2. Bald Patches. If your brush has clumps of missing bristles or looks like it’s suffering from the mange, it’s time to put it out of its misery.
3. Cracked Body. Years of hard use are tough on a brush and can weaken the plastic. So can using it with harsh chemicals or dropping/stepping on it. Whatever the reason for the damage, if your brush’s body is cracked, it’s time for it to go.
Even when your trusty nail brush is no longer great at cleaning your nails, it can still have some use as a household helper. We love ours for scrubbing the grout between tiles. And don’t worry that you’ll never find another one as great as this. Denco has shelves of the best nail brushes, just waiting for good homes.
