Denco’s 4818 Splinter Tweezers are made in Italy of high grade, anti-acid, anti-magnetic stainless steel. Don’t let the name fool you into thinking that they’re just for splinters, though. While their fine point is excellent for removing splinters, they are also great for any precision tweezing work and are particularly handy for removing ingrown hair and stray hair that has been missed when waxing. Around the house, the tweezers can be used to remove ticks from people and pets. They are also a favorite for hobbies such as jewelry-making and precision electronics work.
If you are prone to ingrown hair or work with wood or metal and have a high risk of splinters, you'll love these tweezers. They're also great for removing ticks from the whole family, including pets! The fine point grasps and holds and the stainless construction allows for repeated sterilization to prevent infection.
Clean your tweezers' tips with rubbing alcohol, then slide them gently under the skin and grasp the hair or splinter. Pull slowly but firmly until it is removed. For hair, pull in the direction of the hair growth. For ticks, use the flat sides of the tweezer (not the pointed tips) to grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible. Hold firmly while you smoothly pull it from the skin.
It's best to keep your tweezers in a dry environment. If they get wet, dry them with a clean towel. Swab the tips with rubbing alcohol after use to keep them clean and germ free.
